Teacher's Day

The theme for this year's teacher's day is 'Back to School'. It's the most successful theme to date and many were real sporty. Perhaps, we really do miss being students. The carefree days, the long chats with friends over the telephone and at the fast food restaurants and the gossips. Many of my colleagues chose to take on this theme by dressing up in real school uniform but I choose to deck out in a white and blue ensemble with my nerd specs and trusty book clutch. Quite a far cry from how I look from my student days though. It was an entertaining evening packed with much laughter and fun as we laughed at each other's outfit, playing games that involved guessing who's who and taboo and basically just chilling and relaxing without having to think about marking or the next lesson plan or worse, the setting of exam papers (for the time being). This is gonna be the last teacher's day I celebrate for the next 2 years and I think I will miss it dearly.

Before I finish this much delayed post and in case any of my students comes across my blog, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who bothered writing me a note and gave me little tokens of appreciation. Your sincerity and effort is much appreciated. Hope you have a good holiday!
