My Not-So-Exotic Holiday Part 1: Amazing Bangkok

It was a chi-chi holiday for us.

A time to relax and do all the frivolous stuff

For the 5 days 4 nights, we rested at the luxurious St Regis Hotel in the swanky Rajadamri district in BKK, the heart of all the shopping and action

We ate endlessly. Like many emerging Asean cities, Bangkok has got a very exciting restaurant scene. Besides Pad Thai and Tom Yam Goong, we went for English Tea at the hotel and had really good Japanese food at Zen Cucina and delicious roast duck from Four Seasons. I never knew I love Mango Sticky Rice so much till I tasted the one at St Regis. It's officially my favourite Thai dessert.

We spa-ed twice in the trip and I had my very 1st taste of Thai massage.

And needless to say, we shopped. I love the edgy designs of the Thai designers and some of their really chic malls. Because the designs this season weren't really my cup of tea, I didn't shop till I drop. Hehe

Bangkok has changed so much since I went there as a child more than a decade ago. Its transformation was phenomenal and I love this new Bangkok I'm seeing now.

There is so much to do, to see and to enjoy. I'll be back.
