Ushering In the Goat from Down Under

Happy Chinese New Year from Down Under!

I have always adored Chinese New Year but am desperately in need of a break from the crazy work schedule this year. Hence, we opted for a short getaway to Sydney. We didn't plan to do much, except to have a good rest and enjoy each other's company.

As usual, we enjoyed walking and exploring the parks (here you see the Royal Botanical Gardens),

chasing admiring birds we do not usually see in Singapore,

and explored the museums.

In the midst of doing all these, we all watched a lot of TV and ate a lot of really good food. As usual.

Although we didn't see much or do much, it was a good break and I enjoyed spending 24/7 with the hub, where for once, he could be free from handphone and the constant incoming watsapp messages.

And as luck would have it, we were lucky enough to see these really beautiful fireworks display just right outside our window in the room. With the harbour and Sydney Opera House in the background, the sight was one to behold.
