It's the time of the year when we have to eat multiple reunion dinners again. Today's the first and we had it at HOME, a relatively new restaurant located at Rail Mall.
The requisite toss for good luck, good health and good fortune.
I came in anticipation to try their much-acclaimed peking duck. But was disappointed to be informed that the restaurant will not be serving peking duck during this festive season. :(
The char siew was well-roasted but it's a little too fat for my liking.
The highly-recommended marble goby in claypot. Although the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection, we somehow didn't think it was fantastic.
My favourite dish - braised homemade beancurd with seafood.
I'm not a selfie fan. I prefer to have proper photographs taken. :)
The annual family shot.
Mummy and I.
No matter how full we are, there's always room for desserts. The dessert menu is rather interesting and all of us choose different items. For me, these 2 items stood out: the popular sesame pancake with lotus seed paste and the pumpkin paste with water chestnuts.
This concludes the first of 3 reunion dinners this year. Round 2 begins tomorrow!
Have a good weekend!
