Sunday Lunch

After a 2 hour walk around the Southeast Asia aquarium, we proceeded to Hotel Michael for lunch at Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

To start the meal, we were served a generous basket of bread, much to the delight of the 'boys'.

Whether or not you order a set or a la carte, you get an amuse bouche each.
This little shot glass here contains foie gras mousse with parmesan foam.

Beautiful lentil appetiser that belonged to the hub.

Because they are serving pork ribs for the main course in the set meal, I opted for the a la carte menu instead and have gone with the healthier choice of cod for lunch.

You will never get bored at Joel Robuchon as they have an open concept kitchen that allows you to have a sneak peek at what the chefs are doing. One doesn't have to feel guilty snooping around. The kitchen was designed for a theatrical effect where chefs cook up magical smells and flavours with the clever melange of ingredients.

Complimentary desserts rounded off the very decadent meal.

All in all, the service was great and the servers were really professional and top notch.
While the food was delicious, it somehow lacked the 'wow' factor.
Having said that, it's still worth a try!
