Go To GOTO

Another year has passed. Amidst all the busyness at work,  I am glad I could make it to GOTO for my bday dinner! The past 2 weeks at work has taught me to not take anything for granted, especially not fresh air.

It was the first time we experienced Japanese fine dining and we were blown away by the quality, aesthetic and tastes of the cuisine.

Like most fine dining, the ingredients were not new to us; but the burst of flavours were.

At the end of the dinner, I was surprised by the fruit platter served in an ornate tai plate. Tai, otherwise known as the red sea bream is always served at auspicious celebrations in Japan.

Just when I thought I couldn't stomach any more food, we were served the softest and smoothest mochi I have ever tasted.

accompanied by a bowl of freshly whisked Japanese green tea, of course.

To say that it was a fantastic dinner was a gross understatement. You got to taste it to know what I'm talking about.
Nonetheless, thank you all for all your lovely birthday wishes, especially to the one who made my day with this dinner treat ;)
