Went to the States for 2 weeks and finally landed back home on x'mas eve. It was a place I wanted to visit for a long time and I decided to just take the plunge as I would probably miss out on all my long haul trips for the next 2 years. The upcoming job (scope and environment) change is definitely a push factor.
It was not so much a relaxing trip as there are so many things to see in both Washington and New York. These 2 cities have got amazing museums and I think after this trip I will not see nor visit any museums for quite a while. The weather was expectedly cold and we walked a lot in both places. Shopping was good and we bought lots of stuff; met my shoes and bags target for the whole of 2013 in fact. I thought we would be eating lots of fast food but no, we ended up with many seafood meals which I wouldn't complain about. For the sake of the attractive prices of my Cole Haan shoes, I will definitely be back, but not in the short term! Hehe. I hope you have had a good break too.
