Flea Market

After weeks of waiting, I finally made it to the Public Garden Flea Market @ the arty farty MICA building.

There weren't a huge crowd. I suppose it's because it's the 2nd day of the flea market and most die-hard supporters would have been here the day before. There were some pretty decent discounts offered by the vendors. Not sure if it's because the day is coming to an end. I like it that they sell many items by homegrown designers and the designs are really one of a kind. If you have foreign friends visiting, this flea market is certainly a good place to get presents or souvenirs for them. They have this really cool ice cream stall that sells mouth-watering ice-cream. It is special because the ice-cream is sandwiched between 2 cookies. We, okay at least I couldn't resist the temptation and had a brandy ice-cream with sugar and spice cookies. It's supposed to be a special X'mas flavour and thus limited edition >_<

X'mas is in less than a month and I like preparing my presents early. So here I am with some loot from the market. This notebook that comes in an original vintage cover. I like the cushiony feel of the cover plus it's handmade and a social enterprise project. And I totally agree with what the team said about their products - "sometimes it's the little things that occupy the biggest parts of our hearts. We may not be able to do great things, but we can certainly do small things with great love..."

So, this may not be an expensive present, but whoever I am giving it to, it's definitely given with the greatest sincerity from the depth of my heart.

I love love love such stationery. Maybe because I have a "to do" list everyday. Some pretty but practical gifts for a few good friends at work.

And something for myself. This is actually a white singlet with a big polka dot pocket sewed in the middle of the shirt. I bought it mainly for the polka dots. Hehe... Can wear this over my bikini on a beach holiday...

That's all I have for today. You have a good week ahead while I trudge on with my policies overview. Tata!
