Equinox

After the months of preparation, Speech Day is finally over and it's time for me to take a breather before exam fever hits. Last evening, for some reasons, we found ourselves at Equinox, enjoying good food and panoramic view of the Marina Bay area. We decided on the degustation menu which comes either in 3 course ($100++) or 5 course ($150++). We took one of each and the 3 course proves more than enough for me, especially with the chocolate molten lava cake served as dessert.

I also ordered a bellini to go with my meal and it's one of the best cocktails I have ever tasted. The Moet after taste lingers on unlike most cocktails where champagne is used minimally. My main course was duck and it was done quite the french way, where it is grilled only to medium rare. The meat was tender and juicy at the same time and the portion just right.

Entertainment for the night started when a young couple who looked like they were in their late teens walked into the restaurant and took the window seat (which costs 20 bucks more). We were eavesdropping their conversation and 'people watching' them. When we left, the guy left the girl at the table for quite a long while and she eventually settles the bill. The sarcastic and inquisitive us wonders if the guy had a really bad stomachache or did he find a convenient excuse to slip away from the hefty bill. He he...
